Norma LaVonne Burns Recognized for Extensive Knowledge of Vintage Collectibles

Norma LaVonne Burns honored by Cambridge Who's Who for professional longevity

KALISPELL, MT, April 12, 2010 /Toy PR News/ --Norma LaVonne Burns, Owner and Operator of Many Stars Collectibles, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of business management.

An entrepreneur with a keen eye for vintage collectibles, Norma LaVonne Burns established Many-Stars Collectibles over nine years ago. In addition to overseeing business operations, she is responsible for marketing vintage dolls, figurines, NASCAR, toys, sports and Western memorabilia, collector plates and Star Wars collectibles. Ms. Burns notes that she became involved in her profession because she was looking for a venue in which to appropriately display and sell her collectibles and share her knowledge of vintage toys. Her shop is located in LaSalle Street Market, adjacent to The Apple Barrel (4 miles north of K-Mart, on the west side of Highway 2).

Prior to founding Many-Stars Collectibles, Ms. Burns worked as a sales representative for Con-Stan Industries, and then served in the USDA-Forest Service for over 23 years. She had also been an independent consultant for Avon Products, Inc., through which she received a number of retail sales awards. Ms. Burns considers being one of the only dealers offering high-quality collectibles in the Flathead Valley area to be especially rewarding, and attributes her success to top-notch customer service skills. Some of her featured celebrity collectibles are: Betty Boop, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana, John Wayne, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.

Ms. Burns completed college coursework in business relations, marketing, public speaking, and economics. In recognition of professional excellence, she was honored with a number of superior performance awards for customer service in legal contracts and accounting. Most recently, she was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Cambridge Publishing for the 2008-2009 year. Actively involved with local and national charities, Ms. Burns supports the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and the Salvation Army. She stays current with the trends in her profession by reading Doll Reader, Sports Illustrated, Tuff Stuff, Baseball Digest, Collector News and Entrepreneur magazines.
